Guild Member Application

READ BEFORE APPLYING
Ascensio has the belief that we should "Raid Smarter, Not Harder.” Our 25-man schedule may seem casual when compared to other high-end raiding guilds, however we require a high level of maturity, dedication, and perseverance during our raids. Following the mantra of "Raid Smarter, Not Harder", we set high expectations. Our officers and raid leaders work together to give us the best possible chance of seeing new content and progressing as quickly as possible. Our loot system is an EPGP system based on the ratio of effort points earned to gear points spent. We are located on Malfurion (a CST server), and we raid Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 7:00-11:00 pm CST.

EXPECTATIONS

• BE HUNGRY: We want everyone within our raid to be hungry to be the best within the role they are assigned. Every healer should want to top the charts and so should every DPS (though, we cannot emphasize enough, within the role that you are assigned). To raid smart and maintain our semi-casual raiding schedule, we need to maintain a core group of exceptionally strong raiders. With minor exception (such as to test initiates), we will take the top 25 raiders online. You never know when it will be your chance to prove you belong with the top 25 – so be ready.

• SET ASIDE YOUR PRIDE: No one is perfect. If you are not topping the charts, then we expect you to spend time to understand why; if another person with the same class is outperforming you, we expect you to talk to them and improve. It might be true that a certain class or spec is weaker, but most of the time that is an excuse – if you are not getting ranked on world of logs consistently, then there is likely room for improvement.

• MATURITY: As a member of our raiding team, it is important to be reliable and effectively communicate. We expect greater than 90% attendance within a given raiding tier, ventrilo with a mic, and that you are at least 18 years of age.

REQUIRED ADDONS
• Boss Tracking Addons (e.g. DBM, BigWigs)
• Healing and damage meter (e.g. recount, skada)
• CD Tracking Addons (e.g. TellMeWhen, Power Auras, Weak Auras)
• Uptime Tracking Addons (e.g. Forte Xorcist, Power Auras, Weak Auras)
• EPGP
• Clickable raidframes – Healer only (e.g. vuhdo, healbot, grid & click)
For us to accept your application, it should be very clear that you read our expectations and that you intend to meet them. Any indication that you do not understand your class to the extent our raid requires will likely result in a denied application. Thank you for taking the time to consider Ascensio of Malfurion. We wish you the best of luck!

How to Upload Combat Logs
1. Navigate to your World of WarCraft logs folder (\World of Warcraft\Logs) and delete WoWCombatLog.txt if it exists. This will prevent any old logs from showing up.

2. Type /combatlog in-game to begin logging.

3. When you wish to stop logging, type /combatlog again to end the log.

4. Register an account at http://www.worldoflogs.com and sign in.

5. Create a guild by clicking the link near the top right of the WoL main page (the text box under the sign out link)

6. Choose whatever settings you prefer, but leave the logs public.

7. Once the guild has been created, click the Client link at the top right, and run the Java Data Uploader program.

8. Click Open the WoW Log in the Data Uploader. The program will parse your combat log, and open a new window with the information.

9. Click Upload. Your parse is now on WoL! Copy and paste the link into your application, sit back, and wait for us to praise your amazing dps/healing!
